"I do." meowed Sandpaw.

"Then by StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sandpaw, you will be known as Sandtail. StarClan honors you and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." Padding forward, Almondstar rested his muzzle on top of Sandtail's head.

Sandtail licked Almondstar's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the clan calling out her new name.

"Sandtail, Sandtail, Sandtail!" cheered Houndkit from his seat outside the nursery.

Warblerear padded out of her den, dragging the body of Maplestorm in her jaws. She made her way to the center of the clan camp, arranging the deputy so the clan could grieve.

Brokenclaw padded forward and pressed his nose into Maplestorm's fur.

Almondstar pressed his nose into Maplestorm's fur, then tossed his head back in a yowl. "Cats of ThunderClan. Listen, And I will appoint the new deputy. I say these words before StarClan so our ancestors may hear my approve and choice...Troutegg will be the deputy of ThunderClan!"

"Thank you, Almondstar." meowed Troutegg with a dip of his head.

"Troutegg, Troutegg, Troutegg!" cheered Dustybird for the clan's new deputy.

Warblerear padded into the ThunderClan camp, carrying tansy in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Rowanspider, placing the tansy into the storage.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Almondstar from the center of the clan camp.

Troutegg padded over and took his place at the front of the crowd.

"Warblerear, is it your wish to give up the name of medicine cat and go to join the elders?" called out Almondstar once the clan had gathered.

"It is." answered Warblerear with a dip of her head.

"I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest. Your clan thanks you for your service." finished Almondstar.

"Warblerear, Warblerear, Warblerear!" cheered Troutegg for the clan's former medicine cat.

Rowanspider padded into the ThunderClan camp, carrying marigold in his jaws. He made his way into his den, placing the marigold into the storage.

Willowtail padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled into an empty nest.

Rowanspider padded out of his den, dragging the body of Troutegg in his jaws. He made his way to the center of the clan camp, arranging the deputy's body so the clan could grieve.

Dustybird padded over and pressed his nose into Troutegg's fur.

Almondstar touched his nose to Troutegg's fur, then tossed his head back in a yowl. "Cats of ThunderClan. Listen, And I will appoint the new deputy. I say these words before StarClan so our ancestors may hear my approve and choice...Dustybird will be the deputy of ThunderClan!"

"Thank you, Almondstar." meowed Dustybird with a dip of his head.

"Dustybird, Dustybird, Dustybird!" cheered Barkpelt for the clan's new deputy.

Hawkcloud pulled a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and carried it over to Squirrelfur to share.

Squirrelfur purred as she bit down into the mouse. Once they had finished the meal, she touched her nose affectionately to Hawkcloud's ear, then padded over to the nursery and squeezed inside.
