"I do." purred Reedpaw.

"Then by StarClan, I give you your full medicine cat name. Reedpaw, you will be known as Reedmint. StarClan honors you and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of AirClan." Padding forward, Cinderfeather rested his muzzle on top of Reedmint's head.

Reedmint licked Cinderfeather's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the clan call out her new name.

"Reedmint, Reedmint, Reedmint!" cheered Mallowmoon for the clan's new medicine cat.

Poisonfang purred and licked at the four tiny kits at her side as they mewled and squealed for milk. As she touched her nose to each kit, she sent a silent thanks to StarClan for a healthy litter.

Rubystar pulled a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and sat down to eat.

Electricbirch padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled into an empty nest.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Rubystar from the center of the clan camp.

Cloudkit pricked up her ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Rubystar had to say.

"I, Rubystar, Leader of AirClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Whitepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." meowed Whitepaw.

"Then by StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Whitepaw, you will be known as Whitefur. StarClan honors you and we welcome you as a full warrior of AirClan." Padding forward, Rubystar rested her muzzle on top of Whitefur's head.

Whitefur licked Rubystar's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the clan call out her new name.

"Whitefur, Whitefur, Whitefur!" cheered Thornkit from her seat outside the nursery.

Cinderfeather padded into the AirClan camp, carrying marigold in his jaws. He made his way into the den he shared with Reedmint, placing the marigold into the storage.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Rubystar from the center of the clan camp.

Whitekit padded out of the nursery with his littermates, his coat groomed to a shine.

"We gather today to welcome six kits into their lives as apprentices." continued Rubystar once the clan had gathered. "Bramblekit, you will be known as Bramblepaw. Spottedface, you will be mentor to Bramblepaw. Leafkit, you will be known as Leafpaw. Firefur, you will be mentor to Leafpaw. Jaykit, you will be known as Jaypaw. Sneezeleopard, you will be mentor to Jaypaw. Cloudkit, you will be known as Cloudpaw. Stonetooth, you will be mentor to Cloudpaw. Whitekit, you will be known as Whitepaw. Cloudfang, you will be mentor to Whitepaw. Birchkit, you will be known as Birchpaw. Sandstorm, you will be mentor to Birchpaw."

Bramblepaw hunched down, then carefully and slowly, padded over to Spottedface.

"Let's go check out the territory." meowed Spottedface as she touched noses with Bramblepaw.

Leafpaw puffed out his chest and padded over to his father.

"Ready to learn how to hunt?" meowed Firefur as he touched noses with his son.

Jaypaw let out a small sigh and padded over to Sneezeleopard.

"Let's go work on some fighting moves." meowed Sneezeleopard as he touched noses with Jaypaw.

Cloudpaw purred happily and padded over to Stonetooth.
