"Forestwater, Sunsetmuzzle! Forestwater, Sunsetmuzzle!" cheered Brightflower for the clan's newest warriors.

Lichenfall padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled down into an empty nest.

Squirrelkit pulled a starling from the fresh-kill pile in the nursery and dragged it over to his littermates to eat.

Jaytail padded into the LynxClan camp, carrying thyme in his jaws. He made his way into the den he shared with Brownheart, placing the thyme into the storage.

Cloverheart pulled a falcon from the fresh-kill pile and carried it over to her nest to eat.

Lichenfall purred and licked at the four tiny kits at her side as they mewled and squealed for milk. As she touched her nose to the kits, she sent a silent thanks to StarClan for a healthy litter.

Jaytail padded out of his den, dragging the body of Tigerfang in his jaws. He made his way into the center of the clan camp, placing the deputy down so the clan could grieve. With a sigh, he paused from his duties and pressed his nose into his sister's fur.

Cloverheart padded out of the nursery and pressed her nose into Tigerfang's fur.

Tanglestar touched his nose to Tigerfang's fur, then tossed his head back in a yowl. "Cats of LynxClan. Listen, And I will appoint the new deputy. I say these words before StarClan so our ancestors may hear my approve and choice...Lynxstripe will be the deputy of LynxClan!"

"Thank you, Tanglestar." meowed Lynxstripe with a dip of his head.

"Lynxstripe, Lynxstripe, Lynxstripe!" cheered Briarhawk for the clan's new deputy.

Gladesong padded into the LynxClan camp, carrying a vole in his jaws. He made his way into the nursery, dropping the vole at the queen's paws with a dip of his head.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Tanglestar from highrock.

Screechkit pricked up his ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Tanglestar had to say.

"Jaytail, is it your wish to give up the name of medicine cat and go to join the elders?" called out Tanglestar once the clan had gathered.

"It is." meowed Jaytail with a dip of his head.

"I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest. Your clan thanks you for your service." finished Tanglestar.

"Jaytail, Jaytail, Jaytail!" cheered Shykit from his seat outside the nursery.

Acornfire padded out of the nursery and pressed her nose into Lynxstripe's fur.

"Gladesong, Gladesong, Gladesong!" cheered Thornpelt for the clan's new deputy.

Sagedaisy padded into the LynxClan camp, carrying a rabbit in his jaws. He made his way into the elder's den, dropping the rabbit at their paws with a dip of his head.
