Sagelight licked Blizzardstar's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the clan calling out her new name.

"Sagelight, Sagelight, Sagelight!" cheered Coppertail for the clan's newest warrior.

Flamefeather padded into the BlizzardClan camp, carrying a poppy head in his jaws. He made his way into the den he shared with Thornpaw, sitting down to sort out the poppy seeds.

Lynxflight purred and licked at the five tiny kits at her side as they mewled and squealed for milk. As she touched her nose to each kit, she whispered their names into their tiny ears.

Soulheart padded into the BlizzardClan camp, carrying a bird in her jaws. She made her way into the elder's den, dropping the bird at their paws with a dip of her head.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Blizzardstar from the top of his den.

Flamefeather pricked up his ears and padded out of the medicine den to hear what Blizzardstar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome a kit into his life as an apprentice." continued Blizzardstar once the clan had gathered. "Grasskit, from this day on, you will be known as Grasspaw. Duskfall, you will be mentor to Grasspaw."

Grasspaw let out a happy purr and padded over to Duskfall to touch noses.

"Go make yourself a nest in your new den." meowed Duskfall as he touched noses with Grasspaw.

"Grasspaw, Grasspaw, Grasspaw!" cheered Dreamwhisker for the clan's newest apprentice.

Whitestep pulled a rabbit from the fresh-kill pile and disposed of it in rapid bites.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Blizzardstar from the top of his den.

Flamefeather pricked up his ears and padded out of the medicine den to hear what Blizzardstar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome a kit into her life as an apprentice." continued Blizzardstar once the clan had gathered. "Hotkit, from this day on, you will be known as Hotpaw. Whitestep, you will be mentor to Hotpaw."

Hotpaw, who had drifted off during the ceremony, popped her head back up in surprise and padded across the clearing to touch noses with Whitestep.

"Go get to know your new denmate." meowed Whitestep as he touched noses with Hotpaw.

"Hotpaw, Hotpaw, Hotpaw!" cheered Clearkit for her former denmate.

Applepool padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled down into an empty nest.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Blizzardstar from the top of his den.

Flamefeather pricked up his ears and padded out of the medicine den to hear what Blizzardstar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome four kits into their lives as apprentices." continued Blizzardstar once the clan had gathered. "Waspkit, from this day on, you will be known as Wasppaw. Crimsontail, you will be mentor to Wasppaw. Creekkit, from this day on, you will be known as Creekpaw. Whiteblaze, you will be mentor to Creekpaw. Tanglekit, from this day on, you will be known as Tanglepaw. Coppertail, you will be mentor to Tanglepaw. Clearkit, from this day on, you will be known as Clearpaw. Sparkwing, you will be mentor to Clearpaw."

Letting out a happy purr, Clearpaw padded across the clearing to touch noses with Sparkwing.

Creekpaw puffed out her chest and padded over to Whiteblaze to touch noses.
