Rainsong pricked up her ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Webstar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome five cubs into their lives as apprentices." continued Webstar once the pride had gathered. "Mousecub, you will be known as Mousepaw. Hailfoot, you will be mentor to Mousepaw. Briarcub, you will be known as Briarpaw. Stealthtail, you will be mentor to Briarpaw. Blossomcub, you will be known as Blossompaw. Maplegleam, you will be mentor to Blossompaw. Breezecub, you will be known as Breezepaw. Crowtail, you will be mentor to Breezepaw. Mudcub, you will be known as Mudpaw. Ratstripe, you will be mentor to Mudpaw."

Blossompaw gave a little growl of satisfaction and padded over to Maplegleam.

Breezepaw puffed out her chest and padded over to Crowtail.

Briarpaw puffed out her chest and padded over to Stealthtail.

Mousepaw blinked a few times, then padded over to Hailfoot.

Mudpaw's fur bristled with excitement as she padded over to Ratstripe.

"Let's go check out the territory." growled Crowtail as he touched noses with Breezepaw.

"Ready to learn how to hunt?" Hailfoot asked Mousepaw.

"Let's go work on some fighting moves." growled Ratstripe as she touched noses with Mudpaw.

"Go get to know your new denmates." suggested Stealthtail as she touched noses with Briarpaw.

"Mousepaw, Briarpaw, Blossompaw, Breezepaw, Mudpaw!" cheered Bearpaw for her new denmates.

Reedpelt padded into the WolfPride camp, carrying lavender in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Littlemoon, placing the lavender into the storage.

"Let all lions old enough to catch their own prey gather for a pride meeting!" roared Webstar from the center of the pride camp.

Blossompaw pricked up her ears and padded over to hear what Webstar had to say.

"Reedpelt, is it your wish to give up the name of medicine lion and go to join the elders?" called out Webstar once the pride had gathered.

"It is." answered Reedpelt with a dip of her head.

"I call upon StarPride to give you many seasons of rest. Your pride thanks you for your service." finished Webstar.

"Reedpelt, Reedpelt, Reedpelt!" cheered Breezepaw for the pride's newest elder.

Webstar padded into the WolfPride camp, carrying a swallow in her jaws. She made her way into the elder's den, dropping the swallow at the elder's paws with a dip of her head.

Breezepaw padded into the WolfPride camp, carrying a baboon in his jaws. He made his way over to the fresh-kill pile, dropping the baboon on top.

Webstar padded into the WolfPride camp, carrying a warthog in her jaws. She made her way into the nursery, dropping the warthog at the queen's paws with a dip of her head.

Ferretcub pulled a bone from what was left of the fresh-kill pile and took it back to her nest to eat.

"Let all lions old enough to catch their own prey gather for a pride meeting!" roared Webstar from the center of the pride camp.

Ferretcub pricked up her ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Webstar had to say.
