New to the "outside" RPG world...

Post  Firepelt on 9/17/2010, 7:22 pm

So, i must ask a few questions that are probably really stupid ^.^ I've never joined an RPG, only run my own where whatever goes XD

~Can you have more than one cat in a clan?
~Can you have cats in every clan?
~Is there a limit to how many cats you can have?(this seems to vary lol)

If you scroll down past the clans in Cats of the Clans, it's right below those. You fill it out and place it in the appropriate section of which clan you want to join.

A helpful suggestion: Don't piggyback onto someone else's thread in there, or it may not be seen. Make your own thread when you have a question. ^^

1. It was already said not to piggyback someone else's help thread..right on this thread. Even right above your post. Next time, create your own thread in the help section.

2. There's not a topic right now, the tribe-leaders need to create them.

Well, a couple things..

1. You see two different areas above you where it says not to piggyback on someone else's thread in the help section but to make your own? Next time, do that in the help section. The only times we don't make a new thread is in the roleplay.

2. You were to post as a guest (Guests can post here without joining in this part) before you join as a member. It says that in the rules, and it says that guests can post here right on the help section.

3. Aside from all of that, show us how you would roleplay if you were in a clan or tribe here. Just type up a little paragraph (a couple sentances or so), as a reply in this thread.

Sorry. My computer wouldn't let me enter as a guest, telling me to sign in, so i did. Also, what do you mean by not piggybacking on someone else's thread in the help section but to make your own?

I would probably be a medicine cat because in real life i want to be a vet/doctor. I would be gentle and be a bit like a counsellor, listening to any type of troubles from my clan/tribe mates if they would like to share it with me.

As in: Make your own thread. Use the little button that says "New Topic" at the top of an area.

When you piggyback onto someone else's thread, well, it loses the point of their original thread. You also have different questions than the person who made this thread did, so it's best to have your own topic. Also, when you make your own thread, it's easier to get your questions for those of us with the answers.

Now, if you were replying to a person or roleplaying on the thread, it's perfectly fine to post on the thread (as otherwise it'd be rather pointless).

And an example of roleplaying is you post how you would if you were taking part in the roleplay here. Be a cat that you've created for a paragraph or so.
