Leafpaw nervously pattered across the clearing to Cherrystripe.

"I hope it's all right if we come with you." meowed Cherrystripe to Frostear.

Birchpaw snorted to himself and padded over to Cinnamonpool.

"Go get to know your new denmates." meowed Cinnamonpool to Birchpaw.

"Firepaw, Bramblepaw, Dustpaw, Squirrelpaw, Leafpaw, Bichpaw." cheered Hilltail for the clan's newest apprentices.

Gingercloud padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queen and settled down into an empty nest.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Mangostar from the top of his den.

Muddyfur pricked up her ears and padded over to hear what Mangostar had to say.

"I, Mangostar, Leader of TalonClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Hailpaw, Shellpaw, Lilypaw, Lakepaw, Softpaw, Echopaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." meowed Hailpaw.

"I do." meowed Shellpaw.

"I do." purred Lilypaw.

"I do." meowed Lakepaw quietly.

"I do." purred Softpaw.

"I do." meowed Echopaw.

"Then by StarClan, I give you all your warrior names." continued Mangostar. "Hailpaw, you will be known as Hailheart. Shellpaw, you will be known as Shellmoon. Lilypaw, you will be known as Lilyheart. Lakepaw, you will be known as Lakefur. Softpaw, you will be known as Softwhisker. Echopaw, you will be known as Echomoon. StarClan honors you all and we welcome you all as full warriors of TalonClan."

Hailheart purred quietly to herself as the clan called out their new names.

Shellmoon puffed out his chest as the clan called out their new names.

Lilyheart purred loudly as the clan called out their new names.

Lakefur gave his chest fur a few licks as the clan called out their new names.

Softwhisker purred loudly as the clan called out their new names.

Echomoon purred quietly to himself as the clan called out their new names.

"Hailheart, Shellmoon, Lilyheart, Lakefur, Softwhisker, Echomoon!" cheered Firepaw for her former denmates.

Silverfeather padded out of his den, dragging the body of Quickfur in his jaws. He made his way to the center of the clan camp, arranging the deputy's body so the clan could grieve.

Lostwing padded over and pressed her nose into Quickfur's pelt.
