Hailpaw puffed out his chest and padded over to Falconflight.

"Let's get you a nest set up and go over some basic remedies." meowed Falconflight as he touched noses with Hailpaw.

"Hailpaw, Hailpaw, Hailpaw!" cheered Sharpkit for his former denmate.

Gorsewhisker pulled a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and sat down nearby to eat.

Larksong padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queen and settled into an empty nest.

Sweetlight pulled a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and sat down nearby.

Falconflight padded out of his den, dragging the body of Moonstar in his jaws. He made his way to the center of the clan camp, arranging the leader so the clan could grieve.

Larksong padded out of the nursery and pressed her nose into Moonstar's fur.

Sandytail padded over and pressed her nose into Moonstar's fur.

"It's time." meowed Falconflight to Sandytail, turning to lead the she-cat out of the clan camp.

Sandystar raced back into the SunClan camp and leaped onto the rock near her new den, letting out a yowl as her paws touched the stone. "Cats of SunClan. Listen, And I will appoint the new deputy. I say these words before StarClan so our ancestors may hear my approve and choice...Amberfur will be the deputy of SunClan!"

"Thank you, Sandystar." meowed Amberfur with a dip of his head.

"Sandystar, Amberfur! Sandystar, Amberfur!" cheered Falconflight from his seat outside the medicine den.

Larksong purred and licked at the two tiny kits at her side as they mewled and squealed for milk. As she touched her nose to each kit, she sent a silent thanks to StarClan for a healthy litter.

Falconflight padded into the SunClan camp, carrying dock in his jaws. He made his way into the den he shared with Hailpaw, placing the dock into the storage.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Sandystar from the rock near her den.

Ripplepaw pricked up her ears and padded over to hear what Sandystar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome four kits into their lives as apprentices." continued Sandystar once the clan had gathered. "Sharpkit, you will be known as Sharppaw. Poppywhisker, you will be mentor to Sharppaw. Frecklekit, you will be known as Frecklepaw. Cherrytail, you will be mentor to Frecklepaw. Sparrowkit, you will be known as Sparrowpaw. Sweetlight, you will be mentor to Sparrowpaw. Duskkit, you will be known as Duskpaw. Hollyfoot, you will be mentor to Duskpaw."

Sharppaw purred loudly and padded quickly over to Poppywhisker.

"Let's go check out the territory." meowed Poppywhisker as she touched noses with Sharppaw.

Frecklepaw let out a little sniff of disdain and padded over to Cherrytail.

"Ready to learn how to hunt?" meowed Cherrytail as he touched noses with Frecklepaw.

Sparrowpaw let out a loud purr and padded over to Sweetlight.

"Let's go work on some fighting moves." meowed Sweetlight as he touched noses with Sparrowpaw.

Duskpaw tipped her head to one side for a moment, then headed over to Hollyfoot.
