"Ocelotfur, is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?" called out Quietstar once the clan had gathered.

"It is." answered Ocelotfur with a dip of his head.

"I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest. Your clan thanks you for your service." finished Quietstar.

"Ocelotfur, Ocelotfur, Ocelotfur!" cheered Duskwind for the clan's newest elder.

Deadram padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled down into an empty nest.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" yowled Quietstar from the rocks near his den.

Duskwind pricked up his ears and padded over to hear what Quietstar had to say.

"I, Quietstar, Leader of BurningClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Pinkpaw, Windpaw, Dovepaw, Lastpaw, Floatpaw, Clearpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." meowed Clearpaw.

"I do." meowed Dovepaw.

"I do." meowed Floatpaw.

"I do." meowed Lastpaw.

"I do." purred Pinkpaw.

"I do." meowed Windpaw.

"Then by StarClan, I give you all your warrior names." continued Quietstar. "Pinkpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Pinkthorn. Windpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Windfoot. Dovepaw, from this day on, you will be known as Dovecloud. Lastpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Lastbrook. Floatpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Floatclaw. Clearpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Clearshade. StarClan honors you all and we welcome you all as full warriors of BurningClan."

Clearshade puffed out her chest in pride as the clan called out their new names.

Dovecloud gave a little twitch of his whiskers, listening to the clan call out their new names.

Floatclaw puffed out his chest in pride as the clan called out their new names.

Lastbrook stuck her nose into the air as the clan called out their new names.

Pinkthorn let out a loud purr as the clan called out their new names.

Windfoot gave a simple flick of her tail as the clan called out their new names.

"Clearshade, Dovecloud, Floatclaw, Lastbrook, Pinkthorn, Windfoot!" cheered Slatekit from his seat outside the nursery.

Deadram purred and licked at the five tiny kits at her side as they mewled and squealed for milk. As she touched her nose to each kit, she sent a silent thanks to StarClan for a healthy litter.

Thornleaf padded into the BurningClan camp, carrying a starling in his jaws. He made his way into the den he shared with Frostlion, dropping the starling near his mentor so they could share.

Redmint padded past her clanmates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queens and settled down into an empty nest.
