"Let's go check out the territory." suggested Hawkflower as she touched noses with Lifepaw.

"Ready to learn how to hunt?" Shadowfur asked Sorrelpaw.

"Let's go work on some fighting moves." suggested Swanberry as he touched noses with Shatteredpaw.

"Mind if we come with you?" called out Talonface to Hawkflower.

"Go get to know your new denmates." said Whisperingwind.

"Sorrelpaw, Heavypaw, Shatteredpaw, Sunpaw, Lifepaw!" cheered Rainpaw for her new denmates.

Ashfang padded into the EaglePride camp, carrying borage in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Flutteringtail, placing the borage into the storage.

"Let all tigers old enough to catch their own prey gather for a pride meeting!" roared Eaglestar from the center of the pride camp.

Shadestripe pricked up his ears and padded over to hear what Eaglestar had to say.

"I, Eaglestar, Leader of EaglePride, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Petalpaw, Adderpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your pride, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." answered Adderpaw.

"I do." answered Petalpaw.

"Then by StarPride, I give you both your warrior names." continued Eaglestar. "Petalpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Petalnose. Adderpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Adderwing. StarPride honors you both and we welcome you both as warriors of EaglePride."

Adderwing puffed out his chest as the pride called out their new names.

Petalnose swiped his tongue over his nose, listening to the pride call out their new names.

"Petalnose, Adderwing! Petalnose, Adderwing!" cheered Littlepaw for his former denmates.

Ashfang padded into the EaglePride camp, carrying burdock root in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Flutteringtail, placing the root into the storage.

Flutteringtail padded into the EaglePride camp, carrying a fox in her jaws. She made her way over to the fresh-kill pile, dropping the fox on top.

Boafur padded past her pridemates and into the nursery, squeezing inside carefully. Once inside, she dipped her head to the other queen and settled down into an empty nest.

"Then by StarPride, I give you your warrior name. Yellowpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Yellowpetal. StarPride honors you and we welcome you as a full warrior of EaglePride." Padding forward, Eaglestar rested his muzzle on top of Yellowpetal's head.

Yellowpetal licked Eaglestar's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the pride call out her new name.
