Current DuskPride Plot

Owlcub pricked up his ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Runningstar had to say.

"I, Runningstar, Leader of DuskPride, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Whiskerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your pride, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." answered Whiskerpaw.

"Then by StarPride, I give you your warrior name. Whiskerpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Whiskerear. StarPride honors you and we welcome you as a full warrior of DuskPride." Padding forward, Runningstar rested her muzzle on top of Whiskerear's head.

Whiskerear licked Runningstar's shoulder, then sat back and listened to the pride call out her new name.

"Whiskerear, Whiskerear, Whiskerear!" cheered Frostfur for the pride's newest warrior.

Darkclaw padded out of her den, dragging the body of Ravensong in her jaws. She placed the deputy in the center of the pride camp, so the pride could grieve.

Redstripe padded forward and pressed her nose into Ravensong's fur.

Runningstar pressed her nose to Ravensong's fur, then tossed her head back in a loud yowl. "Leopards of DuskPride. Listen, And I will appoint the new deputy. I say these words before StarPride so our ancestors may hear and approve my choice...Redstripe will be the deputy of DuskPride!"

"Thank you, Runningstar." answered Redstripe with a dip of her head.

"Redstripe, Redstripe, Redstripe!" cheered Sedgecub for the pride's new deputy.

Wolfear padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying a turtle in her jaws. She made her way into the nursery, dropping the turtle at the queen's paws with a dip of her head.

Darkclaw padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying a poppy head in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Hurricanepaw, placing the poppy head into the storage.

Shadowfoot pulled lamprey from the fresh-kill pile and sat down nearby to eat it.

Darkclaw padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying dock in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Hurricanepaw, placing the dock into the storage.

Shadowfoot grabbed part of a moose from the fresh-kill pile and carried it over to Spiderwhisker to share.

Whiskerear padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying a swallow in her jaws. She made her way into the nursery, dropping the swallow at the queen's paws with a dip of her head.

Darkclaw padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying lungwort in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Hurricanepaw, placing the lungwort into the storage.

Shadowfoot made her way into the DuskPride camp, carrying an osprey in her jaws. She padded into the elder's den, dropping the osprey at their paws with a dip of her head.

Darkclaw padded into the DuskPride camp, carrying catmint in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Hurricanepaw, placing the catmint into the storage.

"Let all leopards old enough to catch their own prey gather for a pride meeting!" yowled Runningstar from the center of the pride camp.

Toadcub pricked up her ears and padded out of the nursery to hear what Runningstar had to say.

"We gather today to welcome five cubs into their lives as apprentices." continued Runningstar once the pride had gathered. "Snowcub, you will be known as Snowpaw. Tawnyfrog, you will be mentor to Snowpaw. Butterflycub, you will be known as Butterflypaw. Redstripe, you will be mentor to Butterflypaw. Gingercub, you will be known as Gingerpaw. Bluefoot, you will be mentor to Gingerpaw. Blossomcub, you will be known as Blossompaw. Wolfear, you will be mentor to Blossompaw. Owlcub, you will be known as Owlpaw. Shadowfoot, you will be mentor to Owlpaw."

Swishing her tail, Blossompaw padded over to Wolfear.

Butterflypaw head her held up high and padded over to Redstripe.
