Ivypaw pricked up her ears and padded out of the medicine den to hear what her father.

"We gather today to welcome six cubs into their lives as apprentices." continued Crowstar once the pride had gathered. "Russetcub, you will be known as Russetpaw. Ravenstorm, you will be mentor to Russetpaw. Loudcub, you will be known as Loudpaw. Lightmoon, you will be mentor to Loudpaw. Falconcub, you will be known as Falconpaw. Lilystripe, you will be mentor to Falconpaw. Birdcub, you will be known as Birdpaw. Spottedfur, you will be mentor to Birdpaw. Nightingalecub, you will be known as Nighingalepaw. Startail, you will be mentor to Nightingalepaw. Nightcub, you will be known as Nightpaw. Whiteheart, you will be mentor to Nightpaw."

Birdpaw quietly padded over to Spottedfur.

Falconpaw puffed out his chest and padded over to Lilystripe.

Loudpaw flicked her tail and padded over to Lightmoon.

Nightpaw snorted and padded over to Whiteheart.

Nightingalepaw flicked his tail and padded over to Startail.

Russetpaw shook out her fur and padded quietly over to Ravenstorm.

"Let's go check out the territory." suggested Lightmoon as she touched noses with Loudpaw.

"Ready to learn how to hunt?" asked Lilystripe as he touched noses with Falconpaw.

"Let's go work on some fighting moves." suggested Ravenstorm to Russetpaw.

"Mind if we come with you?" called out Spottedfur to Lightmoon.

"I hope it's all right if we join?" Startail asked Lilystripe.

"Go pick out a nest before your littermates get a chance." suggested Whiteheart to Nightpaw.

"Russetpaw, Loudpaw, Falconpaw, Birdpaw, Nightingalepaw, Nightpaw!" cheered Cottonpelt for the pride's newest apprentices.

Goldenleaf padded into the CrowPride camp, carrying catmint in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Ivypaw, placing the catmint into the storage.

Goldenflower pulled an iguana from the fresh-kill pile and carried it over to Ravenstorm to share.

Cottonpelt's chest rumbled as she licked the single cub at her side. As she touched her nose to the cub, she sent a silent thanks to StarPride for a healthy kit.

Goldenleaf padded into the CrowPride camp, carrying catmint in her jaws. She made her way into the den she shared with Ivypaw, placing the catmint into the storage.

"Let all ocelots old enough to catch their own prey gather for a pride meeting!" yowled Crowstar from the center of the pride camp.

Beechpaw padded across the clearing to Bronzefern.

"Go get to know your new denmates." said Bronzefern as he touched noses with Beechpaw.

"Beechpaw, Beechpaw, Beechpaw!" cheered Darkleaf for the pride's newest apprentice.
